XAPFREE Task Force "Comprehensive and sustainable control of bacterial spot to minimise the economic and environmental impact on almond and peach trees"
The project aims to optimise the control of bacterial spot in almond and peach trees, reducing support from phytosanitary products, improving their use, promoting more sustainable methods and encouraging collaboration between producers and researchers for innovation in the sector.

SOUR-PEACH Task Force "Acid rot control in stone fruit in the context of sustainability"
The project investigates acid rot in stone fruit and develops comprehensive control strategies, studying epidemiology, testing alternatives to chemical treatment and optimising cultural practices, with the aim of establishing a unified and commercially viable method.

2022 Projects
PAM TF. New scenarios for the industrial production of aromatic and medicinal plants in traditional agricultural systems in Catalonia.
The “PAM in CAT” project evaluates the cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants in Catalonia, testing varieties in demand in different agricultural areas. It includes various partners and is jointly funded by DARP, the EU and private funding, with a budget of 179,870 euros.

PEACHNIR TF
Launched in 2019, the PEACHNIR project aims to sort peaches and nectarines by ripeness using non-destructive NIR technology to allocate fruit to markets according to their consumption speed. It involves cooperatives in Lleida, IRTA and a sorting machine manufacturer, with the aim of improving the quality of the final product.

PEACHNIR TF
The Gomori Task Force focuses on controlling post-harvest diseases in peaches and nectarines with no waste, to meet demanding markets. It includes collaboration between producers, traders and scientists and is funded by the Catalan Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.
FORECAST TF
The Task Force project uses Big Data to create predictive models to improve the planning of peach and cherry harvests, increasing the competitiveness of fruit companies.

FRUIT RIS3DAT
The project aims to create disease-resistant apple, pear and peach tree varieties adapted to the Catalan climate, with financial support from the EU through the ERDF Catalonia 2014-2020.
