Producers of Uruguay visit the Central de Fruits de Ponent

A group of fruit growers from Uruguay have visited the Fruits de Ponent Confectioning Center, led by the Institute of Agri-Food Research of Catalonia (IRTA). The technicians and producers visited, first, an agricultural estate where they received the explanations of the head of the Agronomic department, Toni Vitores. They were interested in the types of varieties grown in the Ebro Valley area, as well as the Integrated Production model, which guarantees the traceability of the product and minimizes the use of phytosanitary products.
